This policy explains the cookies and similar storage used on thesportsign.com. It works together with our Privacy Policy.
Your choice
When you first visit, we ask before using anything that isn't needed to run the site. Non-essential cookies stay off unless you turn them on. Choosing "Reject all" never blocks you from shopping or using your account.
You can change your mind at any time from Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Your choice is remembered for 12 months, then we ask again.
Strictly necessary (always on)
These make the site work, so they can't be switched off:
- Session cookie: keeps your cart, keeps you signed in, and protects forms against forgery. Deleted when you close your browser or sign out.
- Cookie choice: remembers what you picked in the cookie banner, for 12 months.
- Security: our network provider (Cloudflare) may set a cookie to tell people apart from bots and block attacks.
- Payments: when you check out, Stripe sets cookies on its own checkout page to process your payment and prevent fraud.
- Pop-up reminder: your browser remembers that you've seen our mailing-list pop-up so it isn't shown again. This stays on your device and isn't sent to us.
Embedded videos (optional)
Some product videos play from YouTube or Vimeo. Before one plays, YouTube or Vimeo may set cookies, and they receive your IP address. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode and Vimeo's "do not track" setting, and nothing loads until you press play. If you leave this off, we show a link to watch the video on their site instead.
Analytics (optional)
If this option appears in Cookie settings, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It's only loaded after you allow it, with IP anonymisation and advertising features turned off. If the option doesn't appear, we don't use analytics.
What we don't do
We don't use advertising cookies, and we don't sell or share your browsing information for advertising.
Records
When you make a choice we keep a record of it (a random ID, what you chose, the policy version and the date) so we can show that we asked. It doesn't include your name, email or IP address.
