This agreement is between you and The Sport Sign. It covers the software (firmware) built into your light and the online services it uses. You accept it at checkout, and your light also asks you to accept it during setup before it will run.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software only on the light you bought, for as long as you own it. If you sell or give away the light, this license passes to the new owner, who must accept this agreement.
You agree not to
- Modify, copy, reverse-engineer, decompile or replace the software, except by installing official updates from The Sport Sign.
- Use the light commercially, for example as a display in a bar, restaurant, arena or other business, or resell its live-score data.
- Use the light or its online services in a way that overloads, abuses or interferes with them.
Live data
The light shows scores supplied by third-party sources through our servers. Scores may be delayed, inaccurate or unavailable, and features may change or stop if a source changes. The Sport Sign isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any league or team.
Sounds you upload
You're responsible for having the rights to any sound clips you upload to the light.
Updates
We may provide updates that add, change or remove features, for example to keep up with changes to live data. Some updates may be needed for the light to keep working with our online services.
Not responsible for losses
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the software and online services are provided "as is", and The Sport Sign is not responsible for any losses, including indirect, incidental or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, arising from the use of or inability to use the light, its software or its live data. Our total liability is limited to the price you paid for the light. This doesn't limit your rights under consumer protection laws that can't be excluded, or our Limited Warranty.
Ending the license
The license ends automatically if you break this agreement. We may then stop providing online services to the light.
Records
We keep a record of when you accepted this agreement, the version, and the light's serial number when accepted on the device. You can see your records in your account.
Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
